PUBLIC APOLOGY
The Coonamble Radio Station sincerely, genuinely and unreservedly apologise to Tim Horan and Brian Sommerville for comments made by Don Schieb and published by our radio station on 13 February 2023. The comments carried defamatory imputations about Mr Horan and Mr Sommerville that were unjustified. For the avoidance of any doubt, what was said by Mr Schieb, does not reflect the views of the radio station.
We further confirm that Mr Horan and Mr Sommerville have not commenced proceedings against the radio station and any insinuation that they have financially jeopardised the future of the station is untrue and without a proper basis. Mr Horan and Mr Sommerville have been supporters of our airwaves and have made large donations to the station over the years.
